Chrystal J. Raven

Inspired by the stirrings of nature; with the unseen realms moving us in subtle and sometimes cataclysmic ways. My work is to capture the transient and make it still. A moments candid posturing, captivating the re-wilding of our minds and hearts, amidst a time of becoming conscious of our taming. The motifs that express this the best are life, love and death.

Nature-core, Witch-core, Gothic Revival, and Art Nouveau are styles/themes most interesting to me as an artist.

Chrystal J Raven is owner/artist of Chrystal Raven Studios; a small art studio located in Greater Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Chrystal is a tri-racial, married, mom of four and current student at Emily Carr University of Art and Design, where she is working on her Certificate of Fine Art.

Chrystal is a mixed media artist. Working in clay, acrylic, ink, resin and digital art primarily, often adding two or more of these mediums to her work. **(I don’t use generative AI for any of my work)**

As a Emerging Artist, I am so grateful for all the representation my art has had so far, including at art shows such as ArtSpot’s Puppy Love Art Show and Under 100 Art Show in the 2024/2025 seasons, where I was one of the highest selling artists in 2025, as well as participating at the Pancakes and Booze Art Show in 2024.

I continue to challenge my technical limits as an artist working in mixed media, sometimes adding. 3-dimensional elements. Looking for new and exciting ways to bring my visions to life in meaningful and inspiring ways.
