-22 Major Arcana steeped in the whimsical darkness of nature.
-57 Minor Arcana cards continue the theme within the traditional four suits: Swords, Wands, Cups, and Pentacles.

Added to the deck is representation of our year’s 12 full moons. Giving additional meaning to every 3rd minor arcana card.
The deck adopts the traditional Rider/Waite/Smith system of reading, with some deviation to be found in the Court Cards.
Giving the moon extra precedence, Vespertine Tarot replaces the Page with the Maiden, the Knight with the Mother, the Queen with the Crone, and the King with the Sage.
As is the common tradition in Neo-Paganism, the moon phases represent the different archetypes of the Goddess’ lunar associations.
The Maiden embodies the lunar energies of the Waxing Moon.
The Mother embodies the lunar energies of the Full Moon.
The Crone embodies the lunar energies of the Waning Moon.
A personal addition to these associations, I’ve added the Sage, who embodies the lunar energies of the Dark Moon.
Each court card is inspired by an ancient Pagan spirit, God, or Goddess, who holds general associations to the element of which the suit represents:
The suit element associations are as follows:
Swords represent the Air element.
Wands represent the Fire element.
Cups represent the Water element.
Pentacles represent the Earth element.

The Blue Moon
The deck will be printed with 320gsm white core, semi-gloss, premium card stock.
Additionally, the cards will have blue gilded edges and be housed in a rigid, magnetic-closure flip box; accompanied by a perfect bound booklet with card descriptions.

Ronin resides as a permanent resident at Bat World Sanctuary in the USA; a world renowned, award-winning animal sanctuary just for bats.
Specializing in bat rescue, rehab and educating the public on the importance of bats as insectivores and pollinators.
Chrystal Raven Studios will donate a portion of Vespertine Tarot’s first printing sales, after its initial Kickstarter campaign, to further aid Bat World Sanctuary in continuing their important work.
Inspired by Ronin, I decided to create this artwork of his baby-bat cuteness.
